JaNae Titmus- November 2017

Our November “Women of Wool” feature is JaNae Titmus. She is the daughter of Hatch and June Howard and was was raised in her Dad’s footsteps helping him in anyway she could on the sheep ranch. Working along side her Dad and her brother Steve instilled a great love of the land and livestock. After graduating from Woods Cross High School she went on to study at Utah State University. During her Sophomore year at USU her dad asked if she could come help with lambing at their new lambing sheds in Grantsville. Little did she know, leaving USU to come help out would be when she would meet her future husband. Hatch had hired Sunnie Titmus to help build some of the new lambing facilities and help with the sheep as well. They became quick friends. The following winter JaNae left on a LDS mission to Thailand. Then a few months later Sunnie went on a mission to San Diego. When he returned they were married. At that time JaNae’s Dad was looking for someone new to manage the farm and lambing facilities in Grantsville. They took over starting their life together where they met. They raised their 5 children on the farm and now have added 3 grandkids to the mix. JaNae loves their life together working with the sheep, cattle and especially her wonderful family. Thank You JaNae for all you do for the sheep industry and for being such a great advocate for agriculture!
