Nancy Clark

The colors are changing and the nights are getting colder. As we celebrate and welcome the changing of seasons, let also celebrate our October Women of Wool feature. Nancy Clark is the epitome of a farm girl. She was born and raised in Cedar City, UT and is the youngest of 3 children. Very early on in Nancy’s childhood she started working at the family run farm along side her brother. During her adolescent years she showed many steers and has continued to help her nieces and nephews and family friends raise their own stock show animals for the Southwest Jr. Livestock Show. Many bummer lambs have been saved by the loving and caring hands of Nancy. During lambing season she does the docking for the entire herd of nearly 4,500 sheep and cares for all the bummer lambs. Everything from tube feeding, bottle-feeding, and splinting broken legs, Nancy is your woman. Not only is lambing season and calving season a busy time for her, the Clark family has many alfalfa fields in the valley of Cedar City which she helps tend to. Nancy is the current President of the Iron County Cattlemen‘s Association as well as a member of the E & I Soil Conservation Board. She is a huge supporter of the Southwest Livestock Show. Nancy is also a member of the Cedar Livestock and Heritage Festival committee currently celebrating their 13th year. Nancy is an animal lover and worked many hours and years at the Mountain View Animal Clinic as well as the livestock auction in Cedar City. She owns and operates her own 18-wheeler and hauls waste for Western Quality Foods. Everyone who knows Nancy agrees she is extremely hardworking and industrious.
